God’s blessings are being sold to the highest bidders by the self-claimed prophets.

This is brazenly done on broad-day light on social media. The daring prosperity prophets are not even mincing their words. They have done to the extent of attaching prices to God’s blessings as if their are selling earthly goods or services.

The United Family International Church (UFIC) founder and leader Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa attracted public condemnation on social media after he introduced a US$1k seed money program.

Makandiwa took to social media to announce the program where he gave out his church’s Stanbic banking details for his 5000 followers to deposit the seed money. The self-styled preacher stands to raise US$5 million if all his neighbours respond positively to his call.

Reacting to social media, critics dismissed Makandiwa’seed money program as daylight robbery. They claimed that the man of God was using his influence to brainwash his followers. Makandiwa made headlines recently after pictures of his multi-million mansion went viral on social media.

Meanwhile, Prophet Passion Java of Passion Java Ministries torched a social media storm yesterday after he announced his 21-day fasting program.

However, some social media followers defended the man of God saying that this was not a scam as he clearly stated that he was the one seeking the US$1k seed money, not God.

Here are some of the reactions from social media;

People must use their brains and protect themselves from daylight robbery. Why should the poor people sponsor Makandiwa’s opulent life style.

What kind of rubbish is this? Are God’s blessings now being put on sale. The problem is that people are so submissive to anyone who claims to be a man of God.

Ooh! These guys must be stopped as a matter of urgency. The government must intervene and protect the vulnerable and desperate people who are expecting miracles in their lives. Or someone must petition WhatsApp and Twitter to suspend Makandiwa and Passion’s accounts for abusing them to swindle the poor people.

I urge people to simply ignore these charlatans. God equipped us with brains already so that we can make reasonable judgements and decision. God’s work is never for sale. It is free just like oxygen.
