Samantha Mtukudzi, daughter of the late music legend Oliver Mtukudzi, has filed a second application for divorce from her retired footballer husband, Tinashe Nengomasha.

She initially approached the courts in December 2019.

In the amended summons filed this week, Samantha says that the couple has been living apart for over two years after the relationship broke down. Her lawyers said:

The plaintiff (Samantha) avers that the marriage relationship between the parties has so irretrievably broken down that there are no prospects of restoration of a normal marriage relationship, more particularly in that the parties have lost all love and affection for each other and the parties have not lived together as a husband and wife for a continuous period exceeding 24 months.

The couple have two minor children together, and Samantha said she wants custody of the two.

She asked for a decree of divorce, an order of child maintenance, custody of the children, and an order that there be a division of assets of the parties as she asked.

Nengomasha is yet to respond.
