Opposition MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa has commended journalist Hopewell Chin’ono for raising public awareness on how elections are allegedly rigged in Zimbabwe.

Chin’ono shared a video on Twitter in which he implored Zimbabwe’s youths to register to vote ahead of the 2023 elections in order to secure their future.

Listen to this video, and RETWEET it if you are interested in CHANGE coming to Zimbabwe!

Many people talk about the rigging of elections and yet we have not explained how they are rigged and importantly how to stop the rigging!

RETWEET & share on all platforms! It is your duty too!

Commenting on Chin’ono’s post on Twitter, Chamisa conceded that mistakes have been made in the past, saying the party is working on addressing them.

Wrote Chamisa:

Thank you @daddyhope for the great work. You are on point. We’re working 24/7 to address past mistakes and fix the gaps.

As citizens, we each must play a role to defeat cheating and rigging. Fellow Zimbabweans, Your country needs you. Change is in your hands. Play your part!

The award-winning filmmaker later took to Facebook where he continued his call for Zimbabweans to register to vote ahead of the crucial elections. He said:

The leader of the opposition, Nelson Chamisa, listened to the video and he says his party is working flat out to deal with the past mistakes that led to rigging.

Now you also need to play your part as a responsible citizen by making sure that ALL those around you and yourself are registered to vote!

#RegisterToVoteZW

ZANU PF has been able to rig elections because Zimbabweans are not United, they can be very selfish by thinking that it is someone’s job to do the work.

ZANU PF has invested in propaganda that says elections don’t work in order to demoralize people, don’t listen to that!

Go and register to vote, the match will be played in the ballot box, and you will only win if you are registered to vote.
Good morning.
