Ferguson Films creator actress Connie Ferguson who plays the role of Harriet Khoza will not appear on The Queen for a while following her husband Shona Ferguson’s passing.

The actress has taken some time off on the show since her husband contracted Covid-19 on 26 June and passed away on 30 July.

The current storyline requires Connie to be in high spirits as her character Harriet Khoza has fallen in love with Rapulana Seiphemo’s character Hector Sebata.

This is the opposite of what she’s going through.

The media mogul’s character Harriet has run-off to her mother’s in North West province to deal with her feelings for Hector. Hector is also married to detective Vuyiswa Maake played by Zandile Msutwana.

Rapulana’s character Hector has fallen out of love with his wife who is pursuing a case that can bring both Hector and Harriet down. Hector is missing Harriet, he can’t forget their kiss and is dying to see her.

He’s been calling her non-stop and even delivered flowers to her house.

Viewers heard Harriet’s voicemails on Wednesday’s show when she left him a voice message where she confesses her feelings for him. Fans should expect more voice messages from Connie’s character as she’s dealing with Shona’s death.

Fans of the show will also notice that the teasers for the month of August are incomplete because of the impact of Shona’s death on the production.

Soapies and telenovela shoot scenes two or three months ahead of schedule.

Vuyiswa will file for divorce when she finds out that Hector is a criminal mastermind who murdered her husband Jerry Maake and Thato Maake
