COVID 19 disinfection robot now operational at Heathrow airport
The Britons have taken the fight against COVID-19 to another level as they installed robots to disinfect their airport at Heathrow Airport in London, BBC reports.
According to the publication:
The robots use ultraviolet (UV-C) light to kill viruses and stop them replicating.
The robots will disinfect high-risk touchpoints like bathrooms and lifts and it has the capacity to disinfect 18000 square meters in 2.5 hours.
Many countries are beginning to open their airports and borders for international travel after months of COVID-19 induced lockdowns.
