Video: Murewa murderer spills it all
Tapiwa Makore (57) the uncle of Tapiwa Makore, a 7-year-old Murewa boy who was murdered recently has been remanded in custody when he appeared before the courts in connection with the murder.
The accused appeared before magistrate Ms Chiedza Gatsi at Murehwa Magistrate’s Court facing charges of murder and was remanded to October 13.
It is the state’s case that on September 17 at around midday, Makore (senior) and his accomplice, Tafadzwa Shamba proceeded to the garden where the deceased Tapiwa (junior) was watching over the family garden.

Makore allegedly gave his accomplice the keys to his house where the deceased was lured into and later kidnapped.
The accused later joined other villagers in searching for the boy who had been reported missing. They searched until midnight.
Makore and his accomplice took the deceased to a nearby mountain on the following day around 1 am and killed him.
The body parts were packed in two different packages, the other one was dumped near the homestead of one Summer Murwira while the other was delivered at the accused’s home for safekeeping.
Murwira discovered some of the body parts which were being eaten by his dogs.
On 20 September, police officers who were investigating the matter discovered Shamba’s blood-stained pair of trousers which he had hidden in Makore’s kitchen hut.
Shamba was picked for questioning on the 23rd of September. He confessed to committing the crime and also implicated Makore.
