Zimbos urge Mangwana’s ‘Twinkle Toes’ woman to come out

HARARE — The mystery woman whose well-manicured foot appeared in Nick Mangwana’s picture yesterday had Zimbabwe’s information czar swimming in a potential sex scandal, with one Zimbabwean urging her to come forward.

Mangwana, who according to his Twitter account, is on a short break from work, posted several pictures of himself enjoying a breather somewhere in Mutorashanga.

However, he inadvertently posted a picture of himself swimming, which was obviously taken by the woman whose well-manicured foot is seen in the same picture, dangling in water. He allegedly deleted it, but not before an eagle-eyed follower had taken a screenshot and circulated it on social media with the caption: “So, @NickMangwana deleted this picture not knowing screen shot gurus had done their duties already. Chihure chinoda kungwara ichi. (You need to be deft when bed-hopping.) It’s more complicated than spreading propaganda 😂😂😂.”

Setting the tone for the conversation that dominated Zimbabwean tweets yesterday, was exiled former information minister Jonathan Moyo, who said, “Was @NickMangwana caught pants down or mystery toe down? Perhaps a #ToeChallenge might solve the mystery, don’t you think @Lee_Ann_Cara? #Just asking!”

To which Lee Ann Bernard joined the fray, “Absolutely! May the matching toe please come forward. Hope I’m cleared from this twinkle toe!”

However, Mangwana had one defender going by the Twitter handle charmaine_fadzi, who replied, “But honestly, there is nothing wrong with asking someone to take a pic of you . . .”

Inno EM disagreed. “For a half-naked man, it would be ideal to ask another gentleman to take a picture of you, manje kana zvava nemukadzi mukati (when a woman is involved), we all know what happens.”

Zim@heart, who obviously is not a fan of Mangwana tweeted, “Who knew this controversial foot would be what it takes to shame, a vile and rogue regime mouthpiece? #TwinkleToesChallenge is on!”

The3rdSun felt Mangwana does not feel shame anymore. “What with the lying he does everyday?” he asked. “Mukadzi wake otoita same game kwaari ikoko. (His wife will play the same game wherever she is.)

While Mangwana, who is a British passport holder, is spewing toxic propaganda in Zimbabwe, his wife and kids are ensconced in London, United Kingdom, ironically the same country he trashes every day.

“What is the wifey saying from the UK?” asked Daniel Chihwa Nyaungwa. “This will not end well for Murakashi,” he said.

“What if it’s her?” asked Great Oracle of Zaka. Many feel, if it was his wife’s foot in the water, he would not have deleted the picture. So, until the mystery is solved or the owner of that controversial foot comes forward, the #TwinkleToesChallenge! is on.

Efforts to contact Mangwana drew blanks, as his phone was off.
