DJ Fresh And Euphonik step down from 947 after rape allegations

A day after police confirmed that a formal case had been opened against the F-Eu duo, DJ Fresh and Eeuphonik over rape allegations, the duo has been forced to step down from their respective roles on the famed 947 radio stations till the case has been resolved in court.

Their accuser, a yet to be known female accuses both of at least both drugging her and at most, both taking turns to have their way with her back in 2011 when she was still a university student.

I had to take anxiety meds to even tweet this ” the lady by Twitter name Siphelele Madikizela narrated her ordeal.

This, before DJ Fresh quickly refuted the claims against him and instead, encouraged the lady in question to open a rape case with the police – to which she gave heed.

“I am aware that assertions have been made about me on social media and I understand that this is often the price of being in the public eye. The fact that these claims are untrue and from an unknown source does not make them less hurtful,” Fresh told IOL.

“Please, should you have a substantiated concern or be the victim of a genuine case of GBV, I urge you to immediately go to your local police station and lay a charge. Pursuing the matter through a legal and criminal process is the best way to ensure that you get the protection you need,” he added.

Now, reports from Eyewitness News have revealed that both radio DJs have stepped down from their roles from the station for an indefinite period.

This is not the first time DJ Fresh has found himself in such a nasty situation. Last year and a year before he was also accused of rape and Gender-Based Violence by an unknown person, and the other case by his former girlfriend.
