Husband is now 7 teeth short For ‘missing’ his curvy female tenant
A KUWADZANA woman allegedly hit her husband with a brick last Friday for saying “I miss you” to his female tenant.
The victim, Steward Matuvenge reportedly lost seven teeth after the attack.
Mativenga’s wife, Shylene Zariro, 33, appeared before Harare magistrate Barbara Mateko on Saturday charged with domestic violence.
She was remanded in custody for bail application.
According to court papers, on August 13 this year at around 19:30hrs, Mativenga arrived home from work and greeted his tenant only identified as Nyasha and told her that he missed her.
This did not go down well with Zariro, resulting in a heated verbal exchange. Zariro couldn’t withhold her anger as she had always suspected that her husband was grazing on the curvy Nyasha’s garden of eden.
The court heard that Zariro hit Mativenga with a brick twice on his mouth, knocking off seven teeth.
In other news, iHarare reported that a family from Zhombe married off their 13-year-old daughter to a 21-year-old man due to hunger.
Fortunately, the short-lived marriage was stopped after a former junior councillor got wind of the matter and raised alarm leading to community intervention.
The young girl who cannot be named was rescued from the “in-laws” after villagers led by traditional leaders allegedly teamed up and enlisted the services of the police.
Midlands provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the development.
The family of the 13-year-old girl has since appeared before Chief Gwesela court. Chief Gwesela fined both the family that tried to marry off their daughter and the family that accepted the child as their daughter-in-law.Chief Gwesela said there was also another case where a young girl was lured into marriage by a gold panner.
Both families were also fined and the girl was taken back to her family.
