Java offers US$500 for ED Number 1 Dance Challenge
Prophet Passion Java of Passion Java Ministries and Kingdom Embassy church has launched the ED Number 1 dance challenge. The eccentric clergyman and self-styled prophet has put up a price of US$500 to the crew which comes up with the best dance video.
The challenge is taking place on video-sharing social network site Tik Tok and participants have to use Roki’s hit song “Patati Patata.” The song which features Congolese rhumba star Koffi Kolomide and Tanzanian artist Rayvanny was produced at the social media savvy prophet’s studio, Passion Java Records.
In the song, the DRC musician chants “Zimbabwe, ED Mnangagwa, Number One.” In order to enter the challenge, participants have to use that part of the music video.
Java launched the ED Number 1 dance challenge over the weekend on his social media page. Announcing the dance challenge, Propet Passion Java wrote,
$500 challenge starts this coming Monday, create your video on TikTok pa part yakanzi ED number 1 and send to boss Lashaan… #musandipikisa.
Patati Patata was released earlier this month and has garnered over five and half million views on the video-sharing platform Youtube.
Just like the reaction to the song, the reaction to the ED Number 1 dance challenge has been mixed. Some have enthusiastically said they will participate, while others said they would not sell their dignity by doing the song. Below are some of the reactions.
