POPULAR drama series Skeem Saam has lost yet another cast member.

Actor Letlalo Mankabidi, who played the role of John Maputla’s uncle on the show, has died.

He passed on Friday, 10 September.

This was confirmed to Daily Sun by the show’s publicity manager Sumaya Magola, who said the cast was reeling in sadness..

The details surrounding his death are not yet clear.

The actor also used to be an English teacher at Mohlakaneng High School.

The show took to social media to pay tribute, writing: “Rest in eternal peace ntate Letlalo. Our deepest condolences go out to his beloved family.”

Since the news of his death, messages of condolences have been pouring in for the actor, with some fans voicing out their concerns that the show had lost too many members this year.

Charlene paid her tribute and said she prayed that the show did not lose more members.

“Why only Skeem Saam actors? No guys, this is unfair. Actors only from this soapie. No, something is wrong here. My favourite soapie is losing its people who bring light to it. I pray no more actors die,” she said.

Nana said: “My English teacher at high school. He made us enjoy the subject so much. May your soul rest in peace Mr Letlalo.”

Ndumiso Dlamini said his thoughts and prayers were with his family.

“My deepest condolences to his family. May God comfort them in times of grief.”

The death follows months after the show lost another cast member Nokuzola Mlengana, who played fan favourite Sis’ Ouma.
