Controversial founder and leader of Goodness and Mercy Ministries Prophet T Freddy has been arrested by police on allegations of rap_e.
Prophet T Freddy stands accused of raping 33-year-old ZBC Radio presenter Rutendo Makuti on several occasions after her husband died in 2019.
A local publication has since shared a video of the self-proclaimed man of God arriving at the court with his lawyers.
Prophet T Freddy’s arrest comes just a few days after Rutendo filed a rape complaint claiming the self-proclaimed man of God se_xually assaulted her.
According to the police memo, Rutendo claims that the Goodness and Mercy Ministries preacher forced himself on her on several occasions after her husband died.
Rutendo revealed that a couple of months after her husband died, Prophet T Freddy proposed love to her, but she declined as she was still mourning her husband.
However, on one particular occasion, Prophet T Freddy is alleged to have rap_ed Rutendo after he asked to stay the night on the basis that it was late.
A local publication reports that on the said night, Freddy slept on Rutendo’s bed while she sat on a chair before he rap_ed her moments later without using protection.
Prophet T Freddy is alleged to have repeated the visits to Rutendo’s place of residence and rap_ed her each time.
After she filed the report, Rutendo was referred to Parirenyatwa Hospital for medical examination.
Prophet T Freddy has since denied the rap_e allegations as he claims that she is trying to extort him.
