ED partially concedes to teachers’ demand for better salaries
Below is a government communique in response to the teachers’ fight for better salaries. The Teachers’ unions are demanding USD$550, but the government offered a string of benefits to teachers.
Teachers and headmasters failed to turn for work when schools opened this week citing incapacitation as the reason.
The benefits include duty free importation of cars, housing subsidy and free education to children of teachers.
