PZ candidate Chipanga expected to snatch Dangamvura-Chikanga constituency
Kwachu Kwachu muso said Charles Mutama is the President of PZ and not him
Veteran Mutare based musician Hosiah Chipanga said he is more popular and likeable than most politicians.
The Kwachu Kwachu muso who is Patriotic Zimbabweans Party (PZ) ‘star candidate in Dangamvura-Chikanga constituency expressed confidence that his music fans will support his political ambitions.
“Of course I am winning that constituency because I need no introduction to anyone in Mutare unlike these other nomadic politicians based in Harare, but trying their like in Dangamvura-Chikanga constituency,” said the lyrically gifted Chipanga.
The Tsono isina shinda muso is now being mobbed by voters each time he appears in public.
Chipanga is fighting it off for the constituency with CCC’s little known Prosper Chapfiwa Mutseyami, MDC Alliance’s Mudzipurwa Taurai while Zanu PF will be represented by Mupfumi Isau Fungai and MAAT Zimbabwe is fielding Zaranyika Anesu.
Chipanga also disputed media claims that he was hanging his mike and the guitar to concentrate on politics, but instead maintained that his music has always been a political expression.
He said: “I now want just putting into practice the political message in mu music and I want to believe that people would be able to see the kind of vision that I have.”
Chipanga also pointed out that he was not the leader of PZ, but only a parliamentary candidate, adding that the Party was lead by Charles Muchineripi Mutama.
“I have many fans in music and it is possible for them to follow me to politics , but however, I am not the President of PZ. Instead PZ is being lead by Charles Muchineripi Mutama a very visionary and humble leader with Zimbabwe at heart.”
He said such confusion was dangerous TO the Patriots’ party.
“I have always wanted to be a politician from childhood. This is not an overnight decision and I am ready to take part in next year’s harmonised elections.”
