Rusape man sodomises friend
A RUSAPE man allegedly sodmomised his unsuspecting friend in his own house.
Luke Nhondoro (28) of Ridgemont Park, who is represented by Mr Munyaradzi Manyengavana of Manyengavana Law Chambers, was not asked to plead when he appeared before Rusape magistrate, Ms Rufaro Mangwiro recently, and was remanded in custody to March 11.
Mr Manyengavana has since lodged a bail application at the High Court.
State prosecutor, Mr Marlon Makamba, said Nhondoro visited his 20-year-old friend on the pretext that he wanted to share with him his personal problems.
“Nhondoro, who is self-employed, and the complainant from Magamba Extension are not related, but used to vend in the Central Business District together. On February 22, Nhondoro went to the complainant’s house and they started discussing about the problems Nhondoro was facing. The complainant advised Nhondoro to pray and even offered to help him in conducting the prayers.
“Nhondoro suddenly grabbed the complainant’s pair of trousers before abusing him.
The complainant screamed for help, but no one came to his rescue. After the act, Nhondoro went away without saying anything, and the complainant informed his neighbour what had happened.
He reported the matter to the police the following day,” said Mr Makamba.
