Mutilated body of Moreblessing Ali found in suspect’s well

The spokesperson of the opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC), Fadzyi Mahere has said the body of a woman found in a well in Nyatsime has been positively identified as Moreblessing Ali, a CCC activist.

Ali was last seen on the 24th of May when she was reportedly abducted by her former boyfriend Pius Jamba. Mahere said in an update:

Our security dept & local leadership are currently working with @PoliceZimbabwe in Nyatsime. The body found at the well at the Chisango home has been formally identified as Moreblessing Ali. We await a formal report from @PoliceZimbabwe on the circumstances of the murder.

OPPOSITION Coalition for Change (CCC) activist Moreblessing Ali was found dead Saturday afternoon.

Moreblessing had been missing for over two weeks after allegedly being abducted by suspected Zanu PF supporters.

Police confirmed in a statement that a body had been discovered at a farm in Beatrice, adding that formal identification processes had been stepped up.

“The body was observed by Linnah Mukandi (57) who is the mother of the suspect Pius Jamba,” reads a statement by ZRP national spokesperson Paul Nyathi.

“The police (have) been in touch with Moreblessing Ali’s family and (have) stepped up the identification process through forensic science analysts.

The results will be made public as soon as as they are out.”

He added that “police would leave to stone unturned in order to locate the suspect Pius Jamba and any other suspects linked to the case.”

Ali family lawyer Job Sikhala said the killers dismembered Ali’s body and threw it in a well near her residence in Nyatsime.

“The body is in two parts. The bottom from the waist on its own and the top the same. Intestines packed in a plastic bag. #RIPMoreblessingAli,” Sikhala, who also CCC vice chairman, wrote on Twitter.

We are now leaving Chitungwiza Central Hospital mortuary where Moreblessing Ali’s tattered body has been left by the police.

CCC activist’s ‘body mutilated, intestines packed in plastic’

Slain Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) activist Moreblessing Ali’s mutilated body was packed into a body bag in two parts, with police stuffing her intestines in a plastic, party legislator and family lawyer Job Sikhala has said.Ali, 46, went missing on 24 May this year after she was reportedly attacked by some alleged Zanu-PF activists.

Her body was recovered Saturday in a well at a farm in Beatrice, a farming community neighbouring Harare.

Sikhala, who was among some CCC politicians who witnessed her body being retrieved, later said the activist’s remains were taken to Chitungwiza hospital mortuary in two parts.

Shallow Well Where Moreblessing Ali Was Buried

Opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) activist, Moreblessing Ali was found dead on Saturday. Her body was found in a shallow well in Nyatsime, Beatrice. She had gone missing on the 24th of May after she was allegedly abducted by her alleged former boyfriend Pius Jamba. Police say the body was observed by Linnah Mukandi (57), who is the mother of the suspect Pius Jamba. It was discovered at Chisango homestead, in the Chisango well. Chisango family were the first suspects with the CCC saying they were the ones who abducted Ali. Police are still investigating the matter.
