UK-based Zimbabwean public intellectual, Dr Alex Magaisa has died

Zimbabwean-born University of Kent law lecturer Alex Tawanda Magaisa has died.
Magaisa, a former adviser to the late former Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai died on Sunday in the United Kingdom where he was based.
According to journalist Hopewell Chin’ono, Magaisa suffered a cardiac arrest this morning at Margate Hospital at 10 am.
The director of a local think-tank SAPES Trust, Ibbo Mandaza, said Magaisa’s demise is a great loss to Zimbabwe’s intellectual community. He tweeted:

Just received the sad news that Alex Magaisa is no more; a great loss to Zimbabwe’s intellectual community, to the struggle for a better and democratic Zimbabwe.
