Rwanda’s richest man in Zim for CZI congress
One of Rwanda’s richest persons, Robert Bafakulera, is leading a delegation of business people attending the Confederation of Zimbabwe Industry’s annual congress to be held in Victoria Falls starting today.
Bafakulera is the Chairperson of Rwanda’s Private Sector Federation.
The grouping arrived at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport on Sunday morning and was received by the CZI chief executive officer, Ms Sekai Kuvarika.
Ms Kuvarika said the coming in of the business delegation further highlights the strengthening of trade ties between Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
“We have a good working relationship with the Private Sector Federation of Rwanda and their members will join us for our annual congress. The head of delegation is one of the richest people in Rwanda and this confirms how they view Zimbabwe as a lucrative investment destination,” Ms Kuvarika said.
As the head of delegation, Bafakulera’s coming demonstrates the appeal Zimbabwe has to the external world in providing real investment opportunities.
Some of the Rwandese Private Sector Federation members were in the country two months ago when they partnered local firms in agriculture.
