Tedd Moss a Former deputy assistant secretary African Affairs at the US Department of State has warned Zimbabwe authorities against paying lobbyists and PR firms to lobby the American government to soften its stance on Zimbabwe.

Moss dismissed the efforts as a waste of money and counterproductive.

Moss went on to say during Donald Trump there was a chance of the lobbyists appealing to Trump directly but the same method will not work with the new US president Joe Biden.

Moss also said buying foreign ministry lobbyists to promote a meeting with false front opposition leaders was also counterproductive.

This comes after reports that Thokozani Khupe was supposed to go to America as the leader of the opposition to meet with delegates in Washington over re-engagement. The Supreme Court declared Nelson Chamisa an illegitimate MDC T leader which resulted in Mwonzora subsequently becoming the new MDC T leader.
