MDC A Vice Chairman, Job Sikhala has been arrested by police at Rotten Row Magistrate Court.
Sikhala was arrested when he turned up to court as he is part of the legal team representing Hopewell Chin’ono, an award winning journalist arrested yesterday for allegedly distributing falsehoods against Zimbabwe Police.
Both Sikhala and Chin’ono are facing the same charge in connection with vedio which went viral about an incident at a Harare tax rank where a police office allegedly button-sticked a nine months old baby to death.
Police denied the story maintaining that no fatalities were incurred from the incident. Instead the police said the mother and baby sustained minor injuries from glasses that fell on them when a police officer smashed the vehicle window while in the process of enforcing traffic laws.
