Vice President Kembo Mohadi (71) is reportedly considering resignation after his illicit affairs with married aides were exposed through leaked phone calls, ZimLive reports.

Mohadi missed a cabinet meeting on Tuesday after he was conspicuous by his absence at last Saturday’s burial of ZIPRA independence war hero Moses Griffiths Mpofu at the National Heroes Acre.

ZimLive reported senior government sources saying Mohadi told his colleagues that he is considering resigning. A ZANU PF source is quoted as saying:

His phone was compromised and he seems very concerned about what tomorrow will bring, beyond the sex scandals.

Only he knows the true degree of the breach of his personal privacy, and he wants to stop the bleeding.

Mohadi met President Emmerson Mnangagwa and co-Vice President Constantino Chiwenga before Tuesday’s cabinet meeting as the trio discussed his political future.

Mnangagwa reportedly offered Mohadi some support and has told him that he should decide on his future – to avoid the ignominy of being fired.

Temba Mliswa tweeted this Tuesday about Mohadi’s conspicuous absence in the public lame light saying:

VP Kembo Mohadi has been very conspicuous by his absence of late….. Heroes Acre; no show, Cabinet; no show….. is something afoot?
