Polling agents urged to leave phones to avoid detection

Polling agents in Zimbabwe are in grave danger. CCC Spokesman Promise Mkwananzi has issued a distress call, urging them to go underground for the next 24 hours.

The agents are being targeted for kidnapping and forced to sign doctored V11 forms. The V11 forms are signed by all polling agents, confirming results per polling station.

The situation is dire, and the opposition party, CCC, has rejected the results announced by the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) on Saturday night.

The ZEC had declared incumbent leader Emmerson Mnangagwa as the winner of another term in office despite the opposition rejecting the result of a vote that international observers said fell short of democratic standards.

In light of these developments, CCC Spokesman Promise Mkwananzi has called on all polling agents to move away from home quickly and leave their phones behind as they are being tracked.

This is a developing story and we will keep you updated as more information becomes available.”
