ED offering history as Chamisa preaches the future

Chamisa flashing his signature finger slogan in-front of a thunderous crowd in Karoi

  1. After watching a few ZanuPF rallies, particularly those addressed by ED, I fully appreciate why ZanuPF has no electoral blueprint for this election.

Beyond rhetoric, propaganda & praising each other through totems, these gerontocrates have no development agenda nor planning.

  1. It’s a tragedy of monumental proportions that we go into an election where the incumbent is offering history.

How do you march thousands of citizens all over the country so that you can share war tales 43 years into independence as the sole reason why you must be elected?

  1. History may very well document & remember that ED’s 2023 election campaign was dominated by chicken Inn & bread.

It’s certainly impossible to remember Mnangagwa campaign for anything else, beyond bussed crowds and free meals

The insensitivity of such a culture is regrettable

  1. ED’s campaign has also seen a struggle by party organizers in maintaining order, as people scrambled for transport, midway into EDs addresses.

It speaks of a citizenry that has been abused throughout the campaign, needlessly travelling miles away from their homes every weekend.

  1. So, whereas ZanuPF has unquestionably shown that its war chest can not be matched, an electoral campaign should mean more.

The death of intellectualism & thought leadership in ZanuPF is unmistakable.

ZanuPF has reached its glass ceiling.
It’s not a party for the future.

  1. There’s more to leadership, particularly with the world witnessing transformation in power generation, modern infrastructure, innovation in science & tech, etc.

To then offer chicken Inn, goats, borehole drilling & music concets, IS NOT the conversation we must be having.

  1. Won’t even talk about the lack of oratory skills by ED & his deputies

There is no need to talk about shamelessly adopting that “ED Huchi” slogan from a pedophile, nor the tragic jibe at King Lobengula

Won’t even talk about Chiwenga’s shocking claim that 🇿🇼n life expectancy is now 80.

  1. ZanuPF contiues to prove that they’re just the “party of liberation” (never mind revised historical accounts to praise whoever is in charge then), nothing more.

For the sake of national development, let’s acknowledge that the war ended 43 years ago.

We need to move forward.

  1. Once more, as the curtain has officially gone down on ED’s election campaign, there’s just nothing worth writing about in anticipation of his presidency for the next 5 years.

Openly challenging anyone to tell us about ED’s BIG IDEA, or AGENDA, which justifies voting for him.

  1. The ability to fulfil promises is one thing, at the very least, to tell us about your intentions!

Perhaps the reluctance to communicate a clear plan is a deliberate ploy to then not be held accountable for promising anything.

This sums up the gamble of a Mnangagwa presidency.

  1. With no fear of contradictions, nor retribution, the undiluted truth is that those voting for ED/ZanuPF aren’t voting for anything.
    They’re offering nothing to 🇿🇼ns.

This would sadly be a historical injustice that can’t be undone.

Office of the Leader of the Youths enkosi!

Chamisa:
“vote for a #NewGreatZimbabwe plan & vision anchored on Restoration, Reconstruction, Transformation, Modernization & Reconciliation to usher in a #Government4Everyone

Mnangagwa:
“Munhumutapa akamuka anofara achiona vazukuru vake vakaungana kudai”

Difference is clear!
