Chin’ono denies presidential ambitions

Harare, April 27, 2024 — Award-winning journalist and anti-corruption crusader, Hopewell Chin’ono, has categorically quashed rumors that he harbors presidential aspirations for the 2028 elections. In a statement released today, Chin’ono dismissed claims that he was secretly working on a campaign for the highest office in Zimbabwe.

“I am not working on anyone’s presidential campaign, nor will I be doing so for 2028,” Chin’ono asserted. The prominent journalist, known for his fearless exposés, clarified that his professional terrain lies in journalism, documentary filmmaking, and anti-corruption activism. “That is my turf,” he emphasized, “and it has not changed.”
