Fuel, diesel prices fall, ZINARA
The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has announced new fuel prices effective 5 September 2020.
The new price for diesel is ZWL$86.36 and US$1.04 per litre, while that for petrol is now ZWL$97.93 and US$1.18 per litre.
In a public notice on Friday evening, ZERA said operators may, however, sell at prices below the cap depending on their trading advantages.
This means that the price of diesel in Zimbabwe dollars has not changed from last month’s review as it has remained at ZWL$83.36 and the USD price has actually fallen by US$0.05 from US$1.09.
As for petrol, the price in Zimbabwe dollars has marginally increased from ZWL$93.15 in August but fell in USD terms by US$0.10 from US$1.28 in August.
