Zanu PF calls for the appointment of a commission to run Harare City Council
A Zanu affiliated Twitter handle Zanu PF Patriots has said since the recent recalls by Khupe have virtually paralysed MDC Alliance run Harare City Council, the government should move in and appoint a commission to run the city council. Zanu PF Patriots captioned a memo that announced the recall of 11 Harare Councillors and said:
Now that the Harare council has been paralyzed, don’t you think it’s high time Govt come through and deploy a commission to run Harare City Council until 2023 elections.
Speaking over a week ago after their Mayoral Candidate Luckson Mkunguma lost to Jacob Mafume, an MDC T official said the party was planning to recall many MPs in order to let the government appoint a commission to run the council.
